Everybody’s Coming For Christmas

“I don’t know about you, but I love it when everybody comes for Christmas!”

Lyrics:

ya ta ta…

oh there’s nothing quite like family on Christmas and the joy it brings when everybody comes together, on this very special morning.

just make sure that you’re ready for the fun when they come at once, don’t be trite or spiteful.

cuz I simply cannot wait to taste you’re buns from the oven, and they’re smelling so delightful to fill the air, when everybody comes.

well you might think that I’m talking about incest, though I’m actually just singing about Christmas

but if them folks come any more we’ll need sawdust on the floor cuz everybody’s coming for Christmas

ya ta ta…

well Cousin Sally, she’s coming ’round the mountain from somewhere down in Appalachia way.

and every time she comes it’s like a fountain of love and joy, at home on Christmas Day.

Uncle Rudy came way too fast one Christmas then he insisted on fondling the balls on the Christmas tree.

but we gave him the business, now he comes late, or just doesn’t come at all.

well you might think that I’m talking about incest, though I’m actually just singing about Christmas

but if them folks come any more we’ll need sawdust on the floor cuz everybody’s coming for Christmas

ya ta ta…

Pap and Meemaw came right there in the station, and it’s a wonder how them oldies ever come to raise up several fine generations, still together every year when Christmas comes.

Ol’ Farmer John’s been a family friend for years and everybody loves it when he comes to Christmas dinner with his homemade beers.

maybe next year I’ll even save you some (ha ha yeah, right!)

well you might think that I’m talking about incest, though I’m actually just singing about Christmas

but if them folks come any more we’ll need sawdust on the floor cuz everybody’s coming for Christmas

ya ta ta…
