The Lost Library of Congress Recordings

Deep in the catacombs of an abandoned government depository, a massive trove of lost recordings sat gathering dust for the past century or more. These forgotten tape reels, vinyl records, 78’s, and wax cylinder recordings contain within them some of the most obscure and unknown musicians in American history. Time is a cruel mistress, and they lay buried, decaying, and left to their fate. Until now…

* Certain members of our staff have reported sightings of an apparition, dubbed the “phantom” of the Lost Library. This author remains highly skeptical of those claims, as it is far more likely to be a shy yet benign vagrant. Our official corporate policy regarding this purported transient is strictly “NO CONTACT”; we don’t bother him, he doesn’t bother us. All of our employees (and guests!) are expected to abide by this policy at all times when exploring the Lost Library of Congress. While exceedingly rare for visitors, if you do witness this person, kindly leave them alone and return to this home page immediately. We have found that he is far more shy of us than our staff are afraid of him.
